Santierra - LOCATION
Only 50 minutes away from Makati CBD. Accessible via SLEX through Mamplasan (with GDC stickers only), Sta. Rosa, Eton/Greenfield, Silangan and Canlubang Exits. Santierra's main gate is located left of the NUVALI Boulevard if coming from the NUVALI Entrance.
Nuvali is located in Sta. Rosa, Calamba, and the municipality of Cabuyao, Laguna. Parts of it were Friar Lands in the 1800s, which were then turned into sugar plantations and eventually in the late 1940's were turned into an agro-industrial estate. The estate is now a days a completely environmentally-friendly space of 2,290 hectares created in collaboration of Ayala Land and the Yulo family.
The panoramic views offered are of Tagaytay, Mount Makiling and the Lake - Laguna de Bay. To enforce it's green theme, Nuvali exclusively provides electric rides. It's goal is to become completely self sustaining and showcases it's charm and green movement in various ways.
In the heart of the NUVALI you will find the Evoliving Center, which teaches visitors and residents with interactive exhibits about Energy Efficiency, Waste Management, and of course how to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle starting within their own four walls.
Recreational and outdoor activities are highly encouraged. Roughly 50 km of off-road biking and running trails are just a part of the vast bike tracks and trails system.
Naturally, it also has it's very own Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, which is a 17km long forest zone and home to at least 60 species of birds.
A 3 hectare tree nursery and demo farm, offers each visitor or resident how to plant trees, and will offer educational services on the different tree types as well as their integral part in the environment. The farm also offers fun activities such as produce education and will allow you to pick organically grown vegetables and fruits upon request or depending on its schedule.
With its extensive picnic grounds Nuvali offers a little of everything for any interest.
Bring your own picnic blanket and watch a FREE movie at their Night Sky Cinema, which features a large screen and an excellent outdoor sound system. Or walk around, and enjoy the art installations of well-respected local artists.
If tired from walking, take a water taxi ride on the 4 hectare multi-functional lake feature, which isn't only aesthetic but also serves as a reservoir for catching rain water, fire reserve and an alternative transportation mode.
Nuvali also houses the Republic Wakepark inside it's complex which is considered with its newest facilities one of the most innovative, world-class wakeparks in the world.
Retail shopping and Koi fish watching and feeding can be enjoyed in the commercial center.
